Short Description

Pemrest® is an anticancer injection containing Pemetrexed Disodium, used for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and malignant pleural mesothelioma. It works by blocking folate-dependent metabolic processes essential for cancer cell growth and replication. To be used under oncology supervision.

1. Product Overview:
Pemrest® is an injectable formulation of Pemetrexed Disodium, an antifolate chemotherapeutic agent used in the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

4. Mechanism of Action:
Pemetrexed inhibits multiple folate-dependent enzymes involved in purine and pyrimidine synthesis, leading to inhibition of DNA and RNA synthesis and ultimately cancer cell death.
