Covirin® is an antiviral medicine containing Ribavirin USP 200 mg, used in combination therapy for the treatment of certain viral infections, including chronic Hepatitis C. It works by inhibiting viral replication. To be used only under specialist supervision.

1. Product Overview: Covirin® is an antiviral formulation containing Ribavirin, used mainly in combination therapy for the treatment of chronic viral infections such as Hepatitis C.

2. Composition: Ribavirin USP 200 mg | Dosage Form: Capsule / Tablet

3. Pharmacological Class: Antiviral Agent (Nucleoside Analog)

4. Mechanism of Action: Ribavirin interferes with viral RNA synthesis and replication, reducing viral load and enhancing the effectiveness of other antiviral agents in combination therapy.

5. Indications: Chronic Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection (in combination therapy) | Selected viral infections as per specialist advice
